The Peers have been busy since we’ve updated last, here are just a few of the exciting adventures. . .

3rd Annual Peer Pilot

This January the Peers piloted their new workshops for a crowd of family, friends, and community supporters. The event was a success with over 50 guests, four workshops running simultaneously, and plenty of delicious food. The pilot was a space to get feedback about the workshops before they hit the road, and thanks to the suggestions and support all of the workshops are continuing to evolve and become stronger with each group we present to. We would like to thank Arizmendi Bakery, SemiFreddi’s, and Rainbow Grocery Cooperative for their food donations and a Thank you to Erin Siegal for photographing the event!

Teambuilding

The peers are hard at work refining their workshops and educating groups all over the Bay. Our most recent Teambuilding night provided a much needed break and a chance to relax as co-workers. A night of bowling gave us a break from the pressures of facilitating and tackling tough topics. It’s important to recognize the diligence and commitment the peers have shown in their work, and to appreciate them and have some fun!

Spring Peer Educator Retreat

The Spring Peer Educator Retreat is on its way! We’ll be spending a weekend at Valley of the Moon Camp in Glen Ellen trading facilitation tips, playing games, and learning about what other Youth Leadership is happening around the Bay. Among many applicants the Retreat team has chosen five groups to attend. Congratulations to:
