For more than ten years, HIFY has been providing trainings, health education workshops, cutting-edge health publications, youth events, public advocacy and leadership training FREE OF CHARGE to the youth and small nonprofit agencies who can most benefit from our work. While we have implemented fees on our provider trainings and resource materials, they are on a sliding sclae so they are accessbile to community agencies. In order to do all of this, we need your help.

The impact of HIFY's work

"The Survival Guide is so beautiful, so clearly a labor of love. So needed and so relevant. Everything from 'I'm thinking about kissing a girl' to 'What would happen to my body if I tried this drug' to stories of girls in the system. It's comprehensive. The word I'm thinking of is revolutionary."

Lateefah Simon, 22, - Executive Director of the Center for Young Women's Development and recent recipient of a MacArthur Genius Award

"I read [the survival guide] from cover to cover and found myself unable to put it down. I want to thank you and your organization for making such rich and open knowledge available to the youth. Being of the "under 18" youth group, I know for sure, that it is hard to find this information in such an honest and open way."

Jasmine, high school student, San Francisco

"Thank you so, so much for such a wonderful, well put together retreat. After we got back, the interns COULD NOT stop raving how much fun they had. All of your hard work paid off. Thak you to you and all HIFY staff. HIFY is one of my favorite organizations and leads the way for other youth serving organizations."

Mercedes, LYRIC program coordinator

"I feel more confident and excited to co-teach the class for the sophomores."

Peer educator, participant in HIFY inservice
