Welcome to Aptos TEACH, a joint project between Health Initiatives for Youth and Aptos Middle School that teaches youth at Aptos Middle School about health, peer education, and sexuality.

Wow! How fast time fly! It seems like we were just on campus outreaching and getting youth to sign up. Now we’ve hired those youth and we are at the end of our fall semester with only a few more weeks to go!

Up next for the TEACHers is facilitating their workshop in classroom during January. We currently have 3 topics and 5 workshops, two of the workshops build on each other. One workshop sets the foundations and the other takes it a step further.

December 2011

As for now the team is on winter break and enjoying a much needed vacation. We at HIFY would like to wish all of the Peer Educators and staff at Aptos a wonderful holiday and New Years! Thank you for a great 2011 and we’re looking forward to a bigger and better 2012 with you all! Be safe.
